Functions - dosing system
•
Above each dosing coil, there is an IR (infra-
red) optical sensor (2, fig. 1, page 5C-7).
Together with the black floater for coffee and
tea (5, fig. 2), functions as an "empty detec-
tor" for the product pack. For milk and cocoa-
containing beverages, the IR-permeability of
the product serves the purpose of empty
detection.

•
Whenever one of the middle beverage
delivery buttons is triggered, either the
dosing system in the centre doses concen-
trate into the trough cover singularly or –
depending on the chosen beverage – in
combination with the left and/or right dosing
system. In the trough cover the concentrate
is then separately mixed with hot water.
•
A corresponding switchover of the auto-
diaphragm (left and/or right) conducts all
product portions into the centre chamber of
the combined trough.
•
The product is whisked depending on the
type of beverage and dispenser equipment,
and is then delivered via the centre outlet
spout.
•
The water valve opens prior to the start of
the concentrate dosing operation. The water
valve closes following termination of the
coffee concentrate dosing operation. The
duration of the opening and closing of the
water valve depends on the position of the
product pack in the cooling compartment
and on the selected beverage.
•
If an empty product pack is detected during
the delivery of a beverage, the delivery is
stopped. Only when 80% of the required
beverage volume has been delivered is the
remaining water contents of the beverage
dosed.
•
Whenever a beverage delivery button is
triggered on the left side, the left dosing
system doses concentrate into the trough
cover where it is mixed with hot water.
•
The product then flows into the left cham-
ber of the combined trough, where it is
whisked depending on the type of beverage
and dispenser equipment, and is then
delivered via the left outlet spout.
•
Whenever a beverage delivery button is
triggered on the right side, the right dosing
system doses concentrate into the trough
cover where it is mixed with hot water.
•
The product then flows into the right cham-
ber of the combined trough, where it is
whisked depending on the type of beverage
and dispenser equipment, and is then
delivered via the right outlet spout.
