Function: Overflow
•
In case of malfunction in the level control
system (e. g. inlet valve does not close in
time), the overflowing water is conveyed
directly into the overflow pipe.
•
From the overflow pipe, the water is then
conveyed into the overflow tray and from the
overflow tray into the drip tray.
•
The opening to the overflow is covered with
a rubber trap to prevent loss of steam.
Function: Water inlet
•
The water inlet is located on the top side of
the container and is connected to the inlet
valve by a hose connection.
•
The most important parts of the inlet valve
are (Fig. 2):
-
the diaphragm including cleaning wire (1)
-
the tappet (2)
-
the coil
-
the valve housing (3) including sieve, flow
rate controller and outlet spout.
•
When the valve is closed, the tappet closes
the bore in the middle of the diaphragm.
