•
Remove the screws (12) and spring wash-
ers (13) on the aluminium plate (14).
(Fig. 4)
•
Undo the Peltier elements (if necessary,
remove the Peltier elements carefully with a
screwdriver since these elements are
fastened with thermal compound).
•
Remove the old Peltier elements (15).
Unsolder the connecting wires of the Peltier
elements from the overheating protection
(16). (Fig. 4)
•
Pull off the bottom part of the foam seal
(17). (Fig. 4)
•
Use a clean, lint-free cloth to clean the
supports of the Peltier elements on the
cooling compartment, the support on the
heat sink and the surfaces of the Peltier
elements so that no form of soiling remains
on the surfaces.
The surface must not be scratched or
damaged. However, if the surface was
damaged, polish the surface slightly.
•
Use the special tool (18) to apply a thin
coat of thermal compound evenly to that
side of the Peltier element (19) that rests
on the heat sink. (Fig. 5a, 5b)
ATTENTION:
Apply only a thin coat of thermal
compound by spreading it evenly,
rolling in various directions. The
imprint on the Peltier element
must still be visible.
•
Place the Peltier element (19) into the seal
(21) with the compound-covered side facing
the heat sink (20). (Fig. 6)
ATTENTION:
Insert the Peltier element in cen-
tre into the seal.
ATTENTION:
Note the red/black polarity!
ATTENTION:
Make sure that the Peltier ele-
ment has not been shifted!
ATTENTION:
The Peltier elements are very
sensitive to breakage (thin ce-
ramic plates, stranded wire con-
nections).
•
Apply thin coats of thermal compound to
the other sides of the Peltier elements as
described above.
