Functions - Power supply unit
and control system

Activation of the boiler is carried out via the
module A board.
•
The following items are activated via the
36-pin plug PX1 (1, Fig. 1):
- valves (inlet/outlet valves)
- heating elements
- filling level control system
- safety circuit dry-running protection
- temperature sensor
•
In addition, voltage is supplied and data
exchanged. (Fig. 1)
•
The circuit board is equipped with its own
processor (2) including rewritable memory.
Software updates can be carried out by
using a special programming adapter when
connecting a notebook or by replacing the
circuit board. (Fig. 1)
The module A controls the basic boiler functions
like, for instance, heating (temperature control),
filling level control, and output of hot or cold
water for beverages.
The detailed parameters for the selected bever-
ages are transmitted to module A from the MCM
board.
