The generator tube must be replaced if the generator power
decreases or the operating values exceed the permitted deviations.
The operating values are determined while generator is being
operated. They are determined when the unit is warm (after beam
has been on for 10 minutes) in order to be able to compare the
values.

If the values of the exciter stage P

forward power approach the
limit values listed above, then the tube is worn out and should be
replaced. The power output P

begins to decrease as soon as the
limit values have been reached. If the generator tube is not
replaced before de-energization of P

, then the power output of the
laser unit will be reduced.
Danger
The operating values are measured while the unit is in service
mode. If an operating error is made, beam emission at the
machining head may occur. To determine the operating values,
perform the following steps only:
•
Switch on the control system.
•
Use the key switch to switch on the service mode.
•
Carry out the operation steps as described in chapter 7.4
"Operation steps on the Siemens control system for
maintenance work/checking generator values"
•
Compare the respective current state with the values in the
delivery protocol.
•
Make a note of the current values.
•
Use the key switch to switch on the automatic mode.
