Machine start-up and shutdown

1.1

Switching on the machine

Gas supply

Switch the gas supply on, opening helium last.

Air supply

Switch on the air supply.

Switch on MAIN SWITCH.

Wait until the control system is ready for operation.

Unlock the E-STOP impact button if necessary.

LASER

Press the LASER ON/OFF button.

The automatic power-up cycle is started and the button flashes.

The cooling unit and the vacuum pump are switched on. The
pressure in the laser is reduced to the start-up pressure. The laser is
filled with laser gas and the pressure raised to working pressure.
The radial turbine blower is switched on.

The button lights up when the laser is ready for operation.

The LIGHT BARRIER button flashes (provided there is a light
barrier).

Press the button.

The FEED HOLD button lights up.

The START or RESET button flashes.

Press the START or RESET button.

FEED HOLD is acknowledged.

The MACHINE button flashes.

Press the button

The button lights up.

The ESTABLISH HOME POSITION button flashes.

Press the ESTABLISH HOME POSITION button. The speed
potentiometer must be set to > 0%, otherwise the axes will not
move.

The axes travel to the reference point (home position).

The button lights up.
