4.2 The laser
The standard equipment of the TLC 1005 includes a CO2 laser of
the TLF series by TRUMPF. It is possible to use lasers with laser
power between 2000 W and 12000 W.
TLF stands for: TRUMPF - Laser - Frequency-excited.
Note
The laser radiation of the CO
2
laser is invisible. The wavelength is
10.6
µ
m. The radiation is hazardous to your health. The safety
regulations in the chapter on safety must be observed.
TLF laser on the support bracket
The following types of laser are used on the TLC 1005:
Small-series laser Large-series laser:
TLF 2000 TLF 8000t
TLF 2700 TLF 12000t
TLF 3200
TLF 4000
TLF 5000
TLF 6000
Laser types
The lasers are basically divided into small series lasers and large
series lasers. Lasers of the small series are located directly on a
console on the machine body. This guarantees a definite allocation
of laser and machine. Lasers of the large series are on a separate
base behind the machine body.
