1. Machine
concept
The TRUMPF LASERCELL 1005 (subsequently referred to as TLC
1005) is a high-volume CNC laser cutting center for cutting,
welding or surface treatment of metallic materials. Flat sheets,
tubes, profiles, three-dimensional or rotationally symmetrical
workpieces can be processed with this device.
The machine operates in accordance with the proven method of
"flying optics": "Flying optics" means that the machine table, and
thus the workpiece, is stationary, while the processing optics move
over the workpiece.
The individual subassemblies of this machine have been designed
as modules. This concept enables a customer-specific and task-
oriented machine design.
The core components of the machine are in addition to the laser
unit the beam guideway, the processing optics, the control panel
and the safety cabin for securing the working range and the suction
unit for keeping the air clean.
The required system components are configured depending on the
machining process, the range of workpieces, clock cycles and
specified quality criteria.
The machine is equipped with a CO
2
laser of the TRUMPF TLF
series. Lasers with different levels of laser power are available
according to the application. The power spectrum currently ranges
from 2000 W to 12000 W.
The TLC 1005 is used as a universal single machine as well as the
core machine of an integrated laser processing center.
According to individual specifications the machine can be
expanded into a complete system solution with its different
extension stages and fitting and automation components.
The workspace of the TLC 1005 is divided in the X direction by a
lift partition panel into left and right machining stations. While laser
machining is being conducted in one station, the operator can load
and unload in productive time in the other station.
