3.2 Measures to be taken by the
user/operator
Observe information and warning plates
Always observe the following warning plates and warnings
attached to the machine:
Warning sign for dangerous electrical current.
For machine components for which the distribution voltage is
already reduced before the main switch, signs with the following
message are also attached in the switch cabinet, on the
appropriate component and on the cable:
WARNING! LIVE WHEN MAIN SWITCH SWITCHED OFF.
These components are live even if the main switch is set to OFF!
Warning sign for hazardous laser beams.
Warning sign for electromagnetic fields.
Instructing personnel
The machine may be operated, serviced and repaired by
authorized, qualified and instructed personnel only.
Work on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and laser-specific
equipment may only be carried out by specially trained specialists.
The following measures must also be carried out before personnel
begins work at the machine:
•
Give instructions on potential dangers.
•
The owner must, if necessary, ensure that the personnel wear
protective clothing and gloves. This especially applies when
heated workpieces are to be removed. If necessary, use
special tools for removing the workpiece. Laser safety glasses
must be worn as a standard requirement during service mode
(laser class 4).
•
The areas of competence for maintenance, operation and
servicing must be clearly defined in order to avoid any
ambiguity concerning responsibilities for the safety aspects of
machine operation.
•
Read the machine’s technical documentation. We recommend
that the user has the operators confirm in writing that they have
read and understood the technical documentation.
