Dirt or slag particles can enter the beam guideway during welding
and dirty the parabolic mirror in the welding head. This is why air is
blown permanently through the nozzle of the welding head during
machining.
1. Select >Operation >Set-up >Welding switch elements.
2. Set the "Crossjet" switch element to ON.
Air is blown through the nozzle.
3. Hold a light piece of paper, for example lens cleaning paper,
under the nozzle and let go of it.
The blowing pressure is set correctly if the piece of paper is held
by the low pressure. The blowing pressure is too low if the piece of
paper falls down.
The blowing pressure is set by means of the restrictor valve on the
instrument panel. The required pressure is no more than 6 bar.

1. Turn the throttle valve at the instrument panel counter-
clockwise (in + direction).
2. Check the blowing pressure again.
