Cutting head setting work
B337EN05.DOC
Every lens is different in its geometrical and optical properties. That
is why the reference value must be determined for each cutting
head in combination with the beam guideway of the machine. The
reference value is the value by which the permanently defined
setting value on the scale has to be adjusted. It is determined by
means of the focus search program.
In order to determine the reference value, the actual focus position
f = 0 has to be determined. The scale on the cutting head is
referenced in this position.
During machining the focus position is defined by means of the
setting value in the Cutting small/medium-sized/large contours
laser technology table. This is the AutoLas Plus setting value
parameter for machines with AutoLas Plus and the setting value
parameter for machines without AutoLas Plus. The following apply
for the setting value and/or the AutoLas Plus setting dimension:
Setting
dimension= 0
Focus is exactly on the nozzle tip.
Setting
dimension> 0
Focus is positioned above the nozzle tip.
Setting
dimension< 0
Focus is positioned below the nozzle tip.
Setting value and focus position
Machines without AutoLas Plus: On machines without AutoLas
Plus the setting dimension must be set manually with the focus
adjustment screw prior to starting the respective production
program.
Machines with AutoLas Plus: The AutoLas Plus setting
dimension need not be set manually at the cutting head prior to
processing. The actual focus position f = 0 (reference value) is
determined and the initial setting at the cutting head referenced.
The fixed setting value is the default value to which the scale on
the cutting head is referenced. It is set manually at the scale using
the focus adjustment screw. The vertical position of the lens is now
defined and thus the focus position at the machine. Each cutting
head is assigned a fixed setting value:
5" cutting head
-3.0 mm
7.5" cutting head
-5.0 mm
Fixed setting value
Setting value -3 mm or -5 mm means that the focus is 3 mm or
5 mm below the nozzle tip. Before determining the focus position,
the fixed setting value must be set at the cutting head using the
focus adjustment screw at the scale.
