1.3 Message line
The black message line is divided into three fields and is used to
display error messages and other kinds of information.
1.4 Softkey bar
There are eight blue keys (softkeys) below the screen which are
assigned different functions depending on the selected activity field.
The functions are indicated in the softkey bar at the bottom of the
screen.
If a blue softkey is pressed the function is executed which is
indicated directly above the key at the bottom of the screen.
1.5 Display area
The display area is made up of one or more separate frames.
Depending on the activity field selected
are opened and current system statuses (e.g. axis positions, feed
rate etc.) are displayed.
Individual fields can be selected using the FOCUS and cursor keys;
selection fields are opened with the TOGGLE key.
Error message If an error occurs, the control or machine element (e.g. NC, PLC,
MMC) which caused the error is displayed in the first field of the
message line. The corresponding error number appears in the
second field. The third field contains a short description of the error.
Note If only a note for the operator is supposed to appear in the
message line, the first two fields are empty and the short message
appears in the third field.
