Utility program CP_FOCUS_WELD
The focus position of f=0 is determined using the utility program
CP_FOCUS_WELD. The program makes a general distinction
between approximate and fine-calibration searches.
•
Only approximate searches are offered and performed with
machines lacking AutoLas Plus. Approximate search means:
the actual focus position of f=0 is determined, together with the
Deviation from nominal dimension. The focus position is
correction using the correction of the welding nozzles length
and the position of the Z axis.
•
For machines with AutoLas Plus, an additional fine-calibration
search is also offered and carried out after the approximate
search and after the correction of the welding nozzle length.
The focus position f=0 is determined once again. The pressure
on the AutoLas Plus mirror is controlled by means of the Focus
position offset and/or the Power-dependent focus shift; the
focus position is corrected by the software. A distinction is
made between two strategies while doing so:

Focus search without power-dependent focus shift: the
focus position is determined once at maximum laser
output.
–
Focus search with power-dependent focus shift, only for
systems with laser output => 5000 W: the focus position is
determined once at maximum laser output and once at
minimum laser output.
CP_FOCUS_WELD is a main program with subroutines. The two
subroutines listed below can/must be edited by the user:
•
CUSTOMER_G820_TABLE: laser output programmed with
G820

. The laser output is programmed in the default settings
at 100%.
•
CUSTOMER_WELDING_SEAMS_AL

: NC program for
welding with the respectively modified focus position.
Note
If no useful result is achieved, then the focus position can be edited
in the subroutine CUSTOMER_WELDING_SEAMS_AL. If the focus
position is edited, then the transfer parameters for the global
program GLB_TEXT_WELD (lettering) will also need to be adjusted
accordingly in the subroutine CUSTOMER_WELDING_SEAMS_AL.
