BELT POSITION SWITCH
The belt position switch triggers an alarm when
the belt is out of position or deformed. It is posi-
tioned closely after the transfer point on both
sides of the belt.
Installation
1. Adjust the arm (by moving the bolt in the
slotted hole) according to illustration.
2. Make sure that the arm can move freely.
3. At the belt position switch type 1, adjust and
connect the limit switch so that it is actuated
when the arm is in normal position.
4. At the belt position switch type 2, adjust and
connect the limit switch so that
it is not actuated when the arm is in normal
position.
Belt position switch, type 1
On belt position switch type 1 the switch is
actuated when the switch’s pin is pushed out.
If the pin is obstructed by ice it can not be
pushed out and the switch gives no signal.
Therefore this type of belt position switch must
be replace by the type 2.
Belt position switch, type 2
The function of the belt position switch type 2 is
reversed so that the switch gives a signal when
it is actuated. The ice can not prevent the micro
switch’s function.
Changing from type 1 to type 2
Reverse the function of the micro switch by
changing the cables for the micro switch in the
connection box.
Remove the old sensor arm and install the new
one.
Test function of the switch by turning the sensor
arm.
