FRIGoBELT NOVA Conveyor
Note!
Before cutting the belt rod, make sure that the
following is available:
• A new rod, a cut rod can not be reused.
• A carbide bur bit, with maximum diameter of
12mm (7/16”).
Cutting the conveyor belt
1. Uncover the rod (A) to be cut by pushing the
mesh (B) against the opposite side of the
conveyor belt.
2. Cut the leading rod (C) as close to the side
link (D) as possible. Fold the conveyor belt
for better access.
3. Repeat the same procedure, 1 and 2, on the
opposite side of the conveyor belt.
4. Push the cut piece of rod downwards and
slide it out from the mesh.
5. Bend the side links apart to “unhook” the
conveyor belt. One side at the time.
6. Clean-up the side links by carefully cutting
away the rest of the rods and welds (E).
7. Grind off remaining weld (F) with a bur bit to
detach the rod and clean the side link hole.
Note!
Make sure there are no cut marks on the side
links or on belt foot.
Splicing the conveyor belt
1. Pull the two conveyor belt ends together.
2. Align the side links with the rod holes cen-
tred opposite each other.
3. Align the mesh, see illustration.
4. Start from any side of the conveyor belt.
Push the rod through the side links, through
the complete mesh and finally through side
link on opposite side.
Note!
• Make sure the mesh is in correct position.
• Make sure the rods are centred between the
side link feet.
