INSTALLATION MANUAL

INITIAL START-UP OF THE FREEZER

This document gives the complete information on how to

perform a safe start-up of the equipment.

Note!

This document is valid for level 2, level 3 and the standard 150

mm enclosures.

The recommended procedure

The following procedure is based on recommendations from the

manufacturer.

Warning

The equipment must be taken down to

operating temperature slowly. The enclosure

can be damaged if the temperature is taken

down too fast.

1. Slowly reduce the temperature in the freezer to 1 °C.

Note!

Do not reduce the temperature faster than 3 °C per hour.

Note!

Do not reduce the temperature below freezing point.
2. Keep the freezer at 1 °C for at least 12 hours, to stabilize

the structure.

3. Continue to reduce the temperature slowly, at an average

rate of 4 °C per hour, to the operating temperature.

4. Keep the freezer at the operating temperature for at least 2

hours.
