INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION,
ADF IN GCM FREEZERS
This document, together with the drawing,
gives the complete instructions for installing the
ADF unit.
A. Air feed
B. Drain valve
C. Limit switch
1. Check that pipes, tanks and hoses are
approved for this type of installation with
regards to local safety standards.
2. Install ADF-unit according to ADF drawing,
index 22.
• Clean pipes from any foreign particles
before assembly.
• Install pipes and hoses. Make sure that the
ADF conveyor can move without causing
sharp bends or wearing to the hoses.
• Clean the entire system before manometers
and valves are installed.
3. Install air dryer and air receiver outside the
freezer according to the Dryer and ADF
drawing, index 22.
4. Install compressor unit (when the
compressor is supplied by JBT FoodTech).
5. Install the limit switch according to Proximity
switch on ADF drawing, index 22.
6. Adjust distance between evaporator fins
and ADF nozzles according to illustration 1.
7. Adjust ADF receiver so that the nozzles
point between the pipes in the evaporator
according to illustration 1.
8. Run the air dryer for 24 hours with closed
outgoing valve to activate the desiccant
substance.
Illustration 3: The direction of the ADF
conveyor drive motor is changed by the limit
switch. If the circuit is, for any means, broken
for more than 10 seconds an alarm is
activated and the ADF unit will stop.
