12. Press down on the ballrails and tighten the
bolts. Refer to illustration 1.1.
Note!
From this step forward you continue to install
the drive system.
13. Level the ballrail. Use the checklist in the
Site Supervisor Logbook (SSL).
14. Do a check of the radius of the inner ballrail.
Use the Radius Template.
15. If the radius is too uneven (more than 0,5
mm), do one or more of the following:
a. Do a check of the radius to the stands and
adjust them if necessary.
b. Add or remove shims between the ballrail
and the stand-bracket.
c. Add heat, with a TIG welding machine, to
spots that are bent/straight and adjust them.
Remember that the heat will shrink the ma-
terial.
16. Do a check of the transfer point. Make sure
that you have the right link height for meas-
uring the distance between the inner and
outer ballrails.
17. Do a check of the distance between the in-
ner and outer ballrails. Refer to the drawing
of the rail.
18. Make sure that the joints of the rail is
aligned, both vertically and horizontally.
Refer to illustration 1.2.
19. Weld the joints of the ballrails with a TIG
welding machine. Set the machine to ap-
proximately 100A. Fill all gaps and grooves
with a filler rod.
Note!
Always use a filler rod. If there is no groove that
you can weld in, you must create a groove.
20. Carefully smooth the joints with a rotating
grindstone.
Caution
Be careful so that you do not grind too much or
too little on the joints of the ballrails. If the joints
are not perfect, the balls will stop and cause
tension in the drive system. Imperfect joints can
damage the equipment.
