INSTALLATION MANUAL

Conveyor belt tension test

1 Measure the conveyor belt tension two

times, first with the outfeed chain discon-
nected and secondly with the outfeed chain
connected. Record each measurement. The
outfeed conveyor belt tension should meet
following two requirements throughout the
whole conveyor belt speed range:

•

The conveyor belt tension should be higher

with the chain connected than the conveyor
belt tension with the chain disconnected.
On high conveyor belt stacks this relation
should be the opposite.

•

FRIGoBELT and FRIGoBELT NOVA with

5mm rod:

The conveyor belt tension should never

exceed 700N at the transfer point, in either

of the two measurements.

The conveyor belt tension should never

exceed 450N in front of the outfeed unit,

after the final adjustment.

FRIGoBELT Widebelt and FRIGoBELT

NOVA with 6-7mm rod:

The conveyor belt tension should never

exceed 1000N, at the transfer point, in

either of the two measurements.

The conveyor belt tension should never

exceed 800N in front of the outfeed unit,

after the final adjustment.

Change the sprocket combination on the
outfeed unit if needed.
If the outfeeed is supplied with a load cell

see Service Info

274

for setting.

3 Check the tension setting of the outfeed

chain tensioner. The chain tensioner should

be preloaded between 10° - 15°.
