INSTALLATION MANUAL

How to make a belt tension measurement

Set the correct belt speed

During the belt tension measurement the belt speed should

be 1 stack rpm.
1. Check the belt speed by putting a mark on a side link, run

the belt and measure the time for 1 stack revolution.

Note!

The time for 1 stack revolution is not allowed to deviate more

then ± 0.5 second, otherwise the measurements will drift away

and make it difficult to interpret the result.

Check emergency stop function and time to stop

the belt.

1. Find the position where you will stop the measurements in

the freezer. Recommended is to run as close to the outfeed

unit as possible.

2. Decide in which way to stop the belt when the logger and

load cell is in the correct end position. Also test the function

of the belt stop, that will be used.

3. Note the time it takes or the length the belt travels before it

comes to a complete stop.

Load cell placement on the belt

1. At the infeed unit, place the load cell with the jaws against

the outer side links.

Note!

The load cell is positioned on the inside of the outer side links on

the FRIGoBELT

Widebelt and FRIGoBELT. On the

FRIGoBELT Widebelt TC the load cell is positioned on the

outside of the centre tension links.
