CHECKING VOLTAGE AND CURRENT
ON TRANSFORMERS
1. General
• The connection of all transformers in the electrical cabinet
should be checked before the electrical cabinet is connect-
ed to the main power supply.
• The standard transformers are designed for various system
voltages.
Note!
The transformer for the light in freezer is connected
before the main switch.
2. Description of transformer
Legend:
PE
Earth in the electrical panel. The earth in the panel
should be connected to the factory earth so that it
can not be disconnected.No main zero conductor
is used in Frigoscandia’s electrical panels. The zero
conductor wire in 5 wire cables is not connected.
L1, L2, L3 The three phases from the main supply in our ex
ample connected after the main switch.
-T2 Transformer with 360-460 V on the primary side
and 220 V and 24 V on the secondary side. Ac
cording to the marking plate on the transformer the
power in this example is 525 VA for 220 V and 325
VA for 24 V. The power is measured in VA because
W depends on the phase displacement angle (cosj)
which depends on the load.
