Drive system
1. Check the plastic drive nut and shaft for
lubrication.
2. Check the function and adjustment of the
limit switches. If the ADF conveyor does not
change direction at the limit switches,
refer
to illustration 9 and do the following:
•
Change the rotation direction of the ADF
motor.
•
Do not change the connection of the limit
switches.
3. Check the ADF motor. Refer to service info
01-06-127.
Inspection after ADF installation
1. Check adjustment of the ADF nozzles. Refer
to illustration 10.
2. Check the alignment of the drive shaft and
rails, by doing the following:
3. Measure the diagonals. The diagonal meas-
ures must not differ more than 3 mm each.
Check the angles.
Refer to illustration 11.
Note!
The ADF motor and the bearings must be
loosened before adjusting the ADF carriage.
4. Check if the angles between the drive shaft
and the nozzle are 90°.
