Test instructions
The use of a tester type HT2034 (Toleka) is recommended for
the implementation of the following tests.
Caution
The machine must be prepared and a number
of safety precautions taken prior to testing:
• block unauthorized access to the machine
• switch off the main supply
• ensure that all fuses and switches are in the “ON” position
• ensure that all contactors in the power circuits are mechani -
cally actuated, the main contactors are to be closed
• ensure that all caps/electrical plugs are connected
• disconnect/bypass any frequency converters
• short-circuit all transformers primary to secondary (only for
those which have a secondary voltage higher than PELV
voltage in the case of normal operation
A test sheet for these measurements is to be drawn up and
processed as above. A general form for this is appended to the
end of these instructions.
Continuity of the protective bounding circuit
The protective bounding circuit is to be examined visually and a
check made on the tightening of the connections.
The protective bounding circuit comprises:
•
PE connections in the control panel
• conductive structural parts of the control panel and the ma -
chine
• the protective conductors that belong to the machine equip -
ment
• GC with plastic ball drive system:
The belt stack in GC:s with plastic balls is electrically iso -
lated from the rest of the machine.
All electrical equipment is isolated from the stack by the
plastic balls and the plastic sprockets.
Therefore it is not considered to be a part of the bounding
circuit.
