Check before start-up
Warning
Before starting the compressor, alert personnel
working close to the freezer.
9. Leak test the ADF unit at 7 bar pressure (700 kPa).
• Build up pressure in the ADF system.
• Shut the valve to the compressor.
• Listen for leaks.
10. Locate any leaks.
• Lower the air pressure to 1 bar.
• Apply soap water with a painting brush all over joints and
couplings.
11. Check that the nozzles can move along the evaporator
without interference.
Test run
D. Dew point indicator:
Should have a green colour indication dew
point under -32°C.
E. Manometer showing the air pressure in the
tank which is being reactivated (should be
0).
F. Manometer showing air pressure in the tank
which is in operation (should be 700 kPa) (7
bar).
G. Motor plate:
Adjust the motor plate to align the drive
shaft into the motor.
12. Start the ADF conveyor drive motor. When
the conveyor reaches one of its outer
positions a limit switch should change its
travelling direction (see illustration 3). If the
conveyor stops at the end position, change
the rotation direction of the drive motor by
changing two phases on the motor.
