Important to send measurement results to
project- or service manager
After the measurement and analyse of the belt tension is done it
is of great importance that the information is sent to the project-
or service manager. The measurements will then be archived by
order number and date in the VPC on Insite. Doing this, makes
it possible to follow the installations to identify structural chang-
es or weaknesses over time.
Other information
Check the calibration of the logger and load cell
• Make sure batteries in the logger are fully charged.
• Connect the load cell to the logger and place both parts on
a table. Make sure no external force is acting on the load
cell other then its own weight during the check.
• Power ON the logger and START measuring.
• Wait two minutes before STOP measuring.
• Connect the logger to the PC and transfer the data.
• Viewed graph should read ± 0 Newton if the equipment is
calibrated.
Due to certain circumstances such as the length of the load cell
cable, present battery power, abuse of the load cell etc… the
calibration might be a bit off. If the calibration check shows an
offset of -50N all values of a belt tension measurement should
be 50N higher then shown in the graph. Opposite if the calibra-
tion check shows an offset of +50N all values of a belt tension
test should be 50N lower then shown in the graph.
