INSTALLATION MANUAL
The floor modules are designed to function at a cold tempera-
ture and can be damaged by high temperatures.
The components of the design
and their related order:
1. 1,5 mm stainless steel
sheet
2. Glue, (A 2 component
poly-urethane glue, it is stiff
and hard.)
3. Formaca, (A 6 mm thick
board that does not absorb
water and that is stiff.)
4. Glue, (A 2 component
poly-urethane glue, it is stiff
and hard.)
5. 100 mm insulation,
(Polystyrene, it is exact in
measures and stiff.)
6. 1,5 mm galvanized steel
sheet, (Protection from fork-
lifts and moisture.)
If the floors are stored in direct sunlight, temperature in the
stainless steel (1) can go up to 60-90 ºC, depending on the
surrounding heat. When the steel becomes hot it will expand
and stretch. The formaca board (3) will not be as hot as the
steel. This means that the steel will expand while the board
does not. If this happens, the glue (2) holding the steel to the
board will brake. Tests show that this starts to happen at
approximately 60 ºC. It has happened in real life.
Always bring the floors indoors directly after delivery.
When the equipment is sent by ship, the heat can become very
high inside the ship. To avoid damage from the heat, a wooden
material that absorbs the direct heat is added to the top of the
floors.
