3. Connection check
The transformer in our example is correctly connected accord-
ing to the customers information that the system voltage is
380 V.
When all transformers are connected and checked, the electri-
cal panel can be connected by the customer.
3.1 Voltage check
The customer may have problems keeping the system voltage
level. Therefore the voltage should be checked according to il-
lustration 3a when the factory is in full operation.
The deviation from the system voltage is allowed to be ±5%.
3a: Voltage measuring example.
In the example in illustration 3a the instrument shows 392V
which is within the tolerance 5%.
On the secondary side 220 V may deviate ±5% and 24 V may
deviate 10%. A calculation shows that both voltages lies within
the allowed tolerance.
