Setting mail reception notification for
terminal in operation
<Display priority>

You can set whether to display a receiving screen,
reception result screen or Auto sending screen by
priority when i-mode mail, SMS or MessageR/F is
received during FOMA terminal operation.

Continue operation:
Displays none of the receiving screen,
reception result screen and sending screen.
Show message:
Displays the receiving screen, reception
result screen and sending screen.
Open:Cont/Close:Show:
Continues operation when the FOMA
terminal is open and prioritizes reception
notification when the terminal is folded.
INFORMATION
･
Even with "Show message" set, no receiving or
reception result screen appears and none of ring tone
and light operate when i-mode mail, SMS or
MessageR/F is received during voice call, PushTalk
session, Camera activated, playing streaming-type
i-motion, i-
α
ppli operation or alarm sounding. Also
the sending screen is not displayed.

When "Continue operation" is set during displaying
the menu, receiving or reception result screen
appears, the ring tone sounds and the light go on.
The sending screen also appears.

Regardless of the settings of this function, no
receiving or reception result screen appears, the ring
tone does not sound and the light does not go on in
the following cases: Also the sending screen is not
displayed.
- Lock on close ON (While the FOMA terminal opened)
- During All lock ON - Public mode ON
- During PIM lock ON

Creating and sending chat mail
Mail can be sent and received to/from multiple
addresses like making conversation. Mail sent and
received can be read on the same screen.

To use Chat mail, mail addresses of the other
parties must be registered as a chat member in
advance.

Chat mail is not available when Receive option is
"ON" or when the message memory has no
sufficient empty space.

When chat mail is sent to a terminal incompatible
with chat mail, the receiver's terminal receives a
message with title "
チャットメール (Chat mail)".
When a message with a title containing " チャット
メール
(Chat mail)" is sent from a chat member
with the terminal that does not support Chat
mail, it can be received as chat mail.

The communication fee for sending or receiving
chat mail to/from multiple addresses is the same
as that for sending broadcast mail.

Up to 100 logs from the latest one are displayed.

area, you can scroll the screen by pressing

Details field
Displays details of the latest chat mail. Pressing

displays details of the chat mail in the send/
receive logs. Chat mail can be displayed up to
250 two-byte or 500 one-byte characters.

When not all characters can be displayed on
the details field,

The sender's nickname and the date or time
the mail was sent/received (time for the
current day and date for another day) appear
on the left side.
