Safety Settings

Restricting mobile phone operations

Various lock functions

A variety of lock functions are available to prevent FOMA terminal from being used by others
improperly or to keep your private information and phonebook entries confidential. You can
choose the function to suit your needs.

I

Multiple lock functions can be set simultaneously.

I

The settings for the following lock functions other than Secret mode are retained even if the power is
turned OFF.

I

You can make emergency calls (110, 119 and 118) even when lock functions other than Omakase Lock are set.

All lock

Preventing unauthorized use

When All lock is activated, menu operations are disabled to prevent unauthorized use by
third parties.

To start both IC card lock and All lock, start IC card lock

All lock

This function disables menu operations to prevent unauthorized use by
third parties.

Omakase Lock

You can lock FOMA terminal to prevent unauthorized use by others when
it is misplaced.

Self mode

This function disables communication functions such as making/receiving
calls and PushTalk calls, use of i-mode, sending/receiving messages and
infrared communications/iC transmission.

PIM lock

This function disables use of private information functions such as
phonebook entries and Scheduler to prevent the display of and tampering
with private information.

Keypad dial lock

This function prevents use of the dial keys.

Privacy mode

This function disables displaying the phonebook, history, messages or My
Picture, protecting them against unauthorized viewing by third parties.

Receive display

You can set whether to display information such as a name when receiving
a call or mail from a party saved in the phonebook or PushTalk phonebook.
