Mail
INFORMATION

If you read a template under the mail creation screen
on which you have edited the mail text, a
confirmation screen is displayed asking whether to
overwrite the mail you are currently working on.
Selecting "Read body only" and a template deletes
only the mail text already entered and reads the text
of the template. Selecting "Read all" and a template
causes all of the address, subject, attached file and
text to be cleared and the template to be read.
Press

to stop reading templates.

Templates cannot be read while Keypad dial lock is
ON.

Multiple templates cannot be read for 1 message.
Viewing templates and creating mail

Templates cannot be read while Keypad dial lock is
ON. Note that, however, a template where the
address saved in the phonebook has been entered as
the destination can be read.
Creating and saving template
<Save as template>
Created or sent/received i-mode mail can be saved
as template.

Saving i-mode mail as a template is disabled in
the following cases:
- When total size of text and decoration exceeds 10,000
bytes
- When the a total size of images in the message text
exceeds the 90 Kbytes
- When a total size of text and images and files attached
to text exceeds 100 Kbytes
- When none of address, subject, attachment files or text
is contained
- Sent/received i-mode mail without text

When sent/received i-mode mail is saved as a
template, its address or subject is not saved.

Select and set the required items below.
Display name:
Up to 10 two-byte or 20 one-byte characters
can be entered.
File name:
Up to 36 one-byte characters including
alphanumeric characters, " . ", " - " and " _ "
can be entered. A dot " . " is not allowed for
the first character of a file name.

[SaveNew].
The template is saved in Read templates.

To overwrite to an existing template, press
a
, select the template to be overwritten
and then select "Yes". Note, however, that
the templates set by default cannot be
overwritten.

If you save a template containing an image that
cannot be sent as mail, the image may be erased.

When changing the display or file name of the
registered template, press
m42
on the
template list screen, change the name and press
p
.

When the memory is not enough or the maximum
number of saved items is reached, a confirmation
screen is displayed asking whether to delete. To save
the template, follow the instruction on the screen and
delete saved template.
Downloading template
Mail templates are downloaded from sites. Mail
templates downloaded can be edited on the mail
creation screen.

The maximum size of each mail template that
can be saved is 200 Kbytes.
