Reconnect alarm
Setting alarm for reconnecting interrupted call
This function sets an alarm to sound when reconnecting, under improved signal quality, a
voice/videophone call or PushTalk call that has been interrupted due to poor signal quality,
such as in a tunnel or behind a building.

While the call is interrupted, the distant party hears no sound.

The time required to make a reconnection depends on the call conditions, signal quality, etc. It normally
takes about 10 seconds to reconnect.

Note that you are charged for the time used to make a reconnection (up to 10 seconds).

The call may be terminated before the alarm sounds depending on the call conditions, signal quality, etc.

To make settings during a voice or PushTalk call, press

and select "Reconnect alarm".
Silent mode
Making FOMA terminal silent
Sounds from the FOMA terminal can be disabled in order to prevent disturbance to the
people around you by enabling the vibrator for incoming calls or muting the keypad sound.
Starting Silent mode

After Silent mode specified in Silent mode is activated, (in General silent mode ON) or (in
Personalized silent mode ON) is displayed on the stand-by display.

Press and hold

for 1 second or more on the stand-by display to cancel.

When Silent mode is started, the light goes lit in red and the vibrator operates once. When
Silent mode is canceled, the light flashes twice in blue and the vibrator operates twice.
When General silent mode is activated
An incoming call is notified with vibration, muting all sounds to be emitted from FOMA terminal such as
ring tone, keypad sound, display swinging sound, Alarm. Microphone is sensitized so that a call can be
made in a small voice.

When a call or mail is received, the vibrator operates in "Pattern A" regardless of Vibrate alert/effect
settings.

During GPS positioning, the vibrator operates as set in Vibrate alert/effect.

When the date/time specified in Alarm clock has come, the lighting pattern and vibrator operate
according to Alarm clock.

When the date/time specified in schedule has come, the light operates according to Call settings for Light
alert and the vibrator operates in "Pattern A" regardless of Vibrate alert/effect settings.

Melodies are not played automatically even when received messages or MessageR/F are displayed with
"Auto play" set for Attachment auto-play.

When playing a movie/i-motion with sound in Silent mode, the confirmation screen appears asking
whether to play the sound. Select "Yes" to play the sound and image. When "No" is selected for a movie/
i-motion with image, only image is played.

When playing Music or Melody in Silent mode, the confirmation screen appears asking whether to play
the music or melody. Select "Yes" to play.
