Unblocking PIN/PIN2 code
If a wrong PIN/PIN2 code is entered 3 times consecutively on the PIN code entry screen, lock
is set. If this happens, unblock and enter a new PIN code.
I
Be sure to keep a separate note of the number. If the PUK has been forgotten or PIN code has been fully
locked, you need to bring a document (such as a driver's license) for identifying that you are a subscriber,
FOMA terminal and UIM to a DoCoMo Shop.

Using fingerprint authentication function
Use of the fingerprint authentication function allows you to skip the operation of entering
the terminal security code with dial keys by sliding your fingertip on the fingerprint sensor.
I
Even with fingerprint authentication set, pressing
m
on the fingerprint authentication screen displays
the terminal security code entry screen, allowing to enter terminal security code for authentication. Note
that the terminal security code cannot be entered when Fingerprint access is "ON".
I
When using Password manager with the fingerprint authentication and a terminal security code access
enabled, be sure to change the terminal security code.

Precautions for using fingerprint authentication function
I
This function is used to authenticate the information on the characteristics of fingerprint image. For this
reason, user with fingerprint that does not provide enough characteristics information may not be able
to use the fingerprint authentication function.
I
The 3 readings with the same finger are needed to register your fingerprint. Do not register the different
finger.
I
Authentication performance (the probability of successful fingerprint authentication for correct sliding of
the finger) depends on the condition of use. The following finger conditions may make fingerprint
registration difficult or reduce the authentication performance. Taking measures according to the
condition of your finger including washing hands, wiping hands, using a different finger for fingertip
authentication and applying cream if the hand is rough or dry may improve the authentication
performance.
- Wrinkled after taking a bath, etc.
- Sweaty and oily enough to obscure ridges of fingertip
- Rough or damaged (cut, inflamed, etc.)
- Extremely dry or having tendency to get dry
- Soiled with dirt or oil
- Became fat or thin to cause the fingerprint to change
- Fingerprint unclear by wearing away
- Surface in a condition extremely different from that at the time of fingerprint registration
- Wet or sweaty
