Information

When microSD memory card is selected as the
memory to save, the image is saved in "My Picture"
folder of the microSD memory card.
･
Saving shot still images may take a long time
depending on the image size, quality or the
destination to save.
･
When an image of size larger than H-VGA (640 x 480)
or V-VGA (480 x 640) is shot with Shake reduce Auto,
extra time is required before the following operations
are enabled:
- Pressing
t
to display image in the actual size
- Pressing
a
to create new message
- Functions that can be initiated by pressing
m
(except title
editing by
m31
and save destination listing by
m9
)

When the memory for images is not enough or the
number of image data exceeds the maximum
number of saved items, follow the instructions on the
screen and delete unnecessary images or set smaller
image size or lower image quality before shooting.
･
Shooting still image during a voice call may interrupt
the call.
･
If there is an incoming call or PushTalk call before the
shutter sound is heard during still image shooting
stand-by, shooting will stop. When the shutter sound
has been heard and still images have been shot
already, a saving confirmation screen after shooting
reappears after ending a call. The shot still images
are saved automatically when Auto save has been set
to "Yes". Note that, however, the shot image may be
discarded depending on the timing.

When Still camera is started from Phonebook or the
mail creation screen, the following functions are
available by pressing
m
on the saving confirmation
screen:
- Edit → Edit title
- Switch view
→
Display normal/Display mirrored
- Save preference → Mirrored image

When a microSD memory card is not inserted, is used
for other functions or is in microSD mode, some
functions cannot be used on the saving confirmation
screen.
･
When an image is shot with Shooting date/time set to
"Date" or "Date + Time", the date or date + time does
not appear on the image of the saving confirmation
screen. However, the date/time is displayed on the
actual size display of the saving confirmation screen.
Using auto focus to shoot

during shooting stand-by to use Auto

when the object is in focus to shoot a clear still
image.

The allowable distance to the subject for Auto
focus is 30 cm or more or 8-40 cm during Macro
shooting.

Auto focus is disabled for shooting with the in-
camera or in Auto timer or with Scene mode/
effect set to "Night scene".

Point the camera at the object and

Auto focus is activated and the focus frame
(orange) and
(black) are displayed on the
screen.
A confirmation sound is heard when the
camera is brought into focus, and the frame
changes to "+" (green), and
changes to
(green).
