When the value is set to 0 minutes, mains interruptions of less than 9 seconds
will not start a Mains Fail report or alert. (The control unit may light the red
keypad LEDs within a few seconds of the mains fail, but then turn those LEDs
off when mains is restored.)
Note that the control unit will not show keypad alerts while the system is set.
When the value is set to one or more minutes the control unit will:
a) Light the red keypad LEDs within a few seconds of the mains fail.
b) At the end of the selected mains fail delay start an alert tone at the keypads
and communicate a mains fail signal to the ARC (provided a communicator is
fitted)

If the system has an EXP-PSU fitted, or if an external PSU is connected to a
zone with type ―External PSU AC Fail‖ in order to report mains fail, then the
timing of a mains fail report depends on the sequence of mains failures at
control unit and external power supply, as follows:
Event Sequence
Report Timing
The control unit mains fails, and then
the remote psu mains fails within 10s
The control unit waits for the mains
fail delay and then starts a keypad
alert and reports a mains fail.
There is a delay of more than 10s but
less than the mains fail delay between
a mains fail at the control unit and a
mains fail at the remote psu,
The control unit lights the red keypad
LED within after 10 seconds of the
initial mains fail and then starts
waiting for the selected mains fail
delay. However, when the remote psu
mains fails the control starts a keypad
alert and reports mains fail
immediately.
There is a mains fail at the control
unit, followed by a mains fail at the
external psu after the selected mains
fail delay has expired.
The control unit lights the red keypad
LED after 10 seconds of the initial
mains fail and then starts a keypad
alert and reports mains fail at the end
of the selected mains fail delay. The
control then simply logs the mains fail
of the remote psu.
The remote psu experiences a mains
fail.
After 10s the control unit lights the
red keypad LEDs, starts a keypad
alert, and reports a mains fail.
The remote psu experiences a mains
fail and then the control unit
experiences a mains fail within the
next 10s.
After the selected mains fail delay the
control unit lights the red keypad
LEDs, starts a keypad alert, and
reports a mains fail.
The remote psu experiences a mains fail
and then the control unit experiences a
mains fail AFTER the next 10s.
After 10s the control unit lights the
red keypad LEDs, starts a keypad
alert, and reports a mains fail. When
