Removal

1. 

Rem ove  w eatherstrip  from   w indow   opening.

2.  Clean  w indow   opening  flange.

Installation

1. 

Install  new  w eatherstrip  in to   opening.

2.  C em ent  w eatherstrip  to   flange.  A pply  to  b o th   sides  o f 

flange  around entire  perim eter  o f opening.

Removal

  Rem ove  latch  to   body  and  la tch   to  w indow   screws  and 

remove  latch.

Installation

1. 

A ttach   la tch   to  w indow  using  escutcheon,  spacer,  washer.

2.

  A ttach  la tch   to body.

REAR  DOORS

 

Rear  Door  Hinge Strap  (Fig.  42)

Removal

1.  Rem ove  strap  release pin.

2.

  Rem ove  screws  retaining  strap  to   door.

Installation

1.  Install  strap  to   door.  T orque  retaining  screws  to   specifi­

cations.

Rear  Door  Hinge  (Fig. 42)

Removal

1.  O pen  door.  S u p p o rt  d o o r  so  th a t  w hen  hinge  screws  are 

rem oved  do o r w eight will  be  on  support.

2.  Remove hinge  strap  release  pin.

3.  Rem ove  hinge  to   door  b olts  and  remove  door  assembly.
4.  Rem ove  hinge  to   body  b o lts  and hinge.

Installation

1.  Install  grom m et  in to   do o r hinge  opening (if rem oved).

2.

  Install  hinge  in to   door.  Snug  bolts.

3.  Install  grom m et  in to   bo d y  hinge  opening (if rem oved).

4.  Install  hinge  in to   bo d y   opening  and  install  bolts.  Snug 

bolts.

5.  Install hinge  strap  and  its  retaining pin.

.  A djust  door  and  torque  hinge  bolts  to  specifications.

Rear  Door  Remote  Control  (Fig.  43)

Removal

1.  Remove  trim   panel.

2.

  Disengage  u pper  and  low er  latch  rods  from   control  by 

removing  retaining  clips.

3.  Remove  rem ote  co n tro l  by  rem oving  its  retaining screws.

Installation

1.  Install rem ote  control.  T orque  screws  to   specifications.

2.

  R einstall  u pper  and  low er  latch  rods  to  control.

3.  Install  trim   panel.

Rear  Door  Upper or  Lower  Latches

 

And/or  Latch  Rods  (Fig.  43)

Removal

1.  Rem ove  trim   panel.

2.

  Disengage  rod  from   rem ote  co n tro l assembly.
