Replacing a Filament
This procedure is the same for both an EI or CI source.
CAUTION
ATTENTION
Make sure you are wearing lint-free, powder-free nitrile
,
nylon,
or
PVC gloves, and that you wipe each part with a methanol
dampened Kimwipe.
Assurez-vous que vous portez des gants en nitrile, en nylon ou en

Items and Tools Required
•
Filament assembly (Part No. E6470012).
•
Methanol.
•
Lint-free, powder-free nitrile, nylon, or PVC gloves.
•
Aluminum foil or lint-free disposable cloth squares.
To replace a filament, follow this procedure.
1.
Prepare a clean, uncluttered work area and place a square of aluminum foil with
the shiny side up.
2.
Remove the source by following the procedure Removing and Returning the
Source on page
