Reel Drive Sprocket
The reel drive sprocket is attached to the reel drive motor.
Removing Reel Drive Single Sprocket
The reel drive sprocket is attached to the reel drive motor. By changing the drive and driven sprockets the speed and
torque of the reel can be changed.
DANGER
To prevent injury or death from the unexpected start-up of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the key
from the ignition before leaving the operator
’
s seat for any reason.
1.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.

Remove the reel drive cover. For instructions, refer to
Removing Reel Drive Cover, page 46
.

Loosen reel drive chain (A). For instructions, refer to
Loosening Reel Drive Chain, page 421

Remove reel drive chain (A) from reel drive sprocket (B).

Remove the cotter pin and slotted nut (A) from the
motor shaft.
6.
Remove reel drive sprocket (B). Ensure the key remains in
the shaft.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid damaging the motor, use a puller if drive
sprocket (B) does not come off by hand. Do
NOT
use a pry
bar and/or hammer to remove the drive sprocket.
