14. If the BBF2B/BBF2C TGS or BBF4 TG3 is provisioned for sync out mode,
refer to Table G and Figure 2 and set equalizer switches for the proper cable
length.
15. NOTE:
Switches S1-1 and S1-2 were ignored by the system the first time the
TGS/TG3 was installed unless the timing mode was set to
DS1 External
or
Line Timed sync out mode. Subsequent removal or replacement of the
TGS/TG3 requires that switches S1-1 and S1-2 be set the same as the
original settings or an update

Is timing mode set to either
DS1 External or Line Timed sync out?
If YES, then continue with Step 16.
If NO, then proceed to Step 17.
