Remove the differential unit (7) and place it on a work bench.
NOTE.
Use the tool
T13
to ease removal.
If bearings need replacing, remove the outer thrust blocks of
bearings (9) from intermediate covers (4) and (8).
NOTE.
Carefully check the O-rings (10).
Remove snap ring (11) and cap (12).
NOTE.
Replace cap at each disassembly.
DISASSEMBLY
Using two levers, lift bearing (9) on gear ring side by about 8 mm.
Loosen and remove the check screws (13) of gear ring (14).
NOTE.
The screws must be replaced at each disassembly.
Remove the gear ring (14).
NOTE.
If necessary, use a plastic hammer.
