Protect the automatic wake-up
Protect the automatic wake-up
Introduction
After the automatic wake-up function is enabled The automatic wake-up function on
page 53 , you can enable or disable the protection for the automatic wake-up. This
protection limits the automatic wake-up behaviour of the printer. If the protection is
not active, the system wakes up when an automatic print job arrives. No user
intervention is needed and all users can use the printer.
If the automatic wake-up protection is active, only users who know the PIN
(Personal Identification Number) can use the machine. The printer is then protected
from unauthorised use.
Note: The PIN used for the automatic wake-up protection and the operator panel
lock is the same ( see ‘Set a protective PIN’ on page 56 ) .
Before you begin
1.
Open your web browser.
2.
Enter the URL of the Océ Smart Imager in your web browser.
3.
Select the 'Key operator' mode or the 'System administrator' mode.
4.
Enter the required PIN or password.
How to enable the automatic wake-up protection
1.
Click the 'Settings' tab.
2.
Click 'Power management'.
3.
Click the check box for 'Enable' in the 'Protect wake-up and lock operator panel'
field.
4.
Click 'Apply'.
How to disable the automatic wake-up protection
1.
Click the 'Settings' tab.
2.
Click 'Power management'.
3.
Uncheck the check box for 'Enable' in the 'Protect wake-up and lock operator panel'
field.
4.
Click 'Apply'.
