Create booklets from print jobs
Create an A4 booklet
Introduction
You can create an A4 booklet from an A4 document. An A4 booklet is printed on A3
size sheets. The printer prints 2 A4 images side by side on the A3 sheet and
reshuffles the page order to print a booklet. After you fold the A3 sheets the result is
an A4 booklet with pages in the correct booklet order.
Note:
The availability of the settings and options depends on the printer model you
use.
Note: When you define the job settings, the situation can occur that some job
settings cause a constraint.
How to create a folded A4 booklet from an A4 document
1.
In your application, click File - Print...
The print window opens.
2.
Select the required printer and click 'Properties'.
The document properties window opens.
3.
Define the job settings in the available toolbars.
Note:
You cannot set a staple when you create a booklet this way.

Click the 'Layout' settings bar.
At '1-sided or 2-sided', select '2-sided'.
At 'Booklet', select 'On'.
At 'Booklet', select 'A3'.

Click the 'Paper' settings bar.
At 'Document size', select A4 if required. The printer driver uses the same document
size as the one that you selected in the software application.
6.
Click 'OK' to confirm your print job settings.
7.
Click 'OK' to send the print job to the printer.
Result
The print job is send to the printer. Be aware that the print job can arrive at the
mailbox or user box of the printer.
