You can use the Monitor setting to test the potential effectiveness of the Onset feature for

the patient without programming it to On.
When the Onset feature is set to Monitor, the device performs all of the calculations

associated with the Onset feature but the calculations do not affect the classification of VT

intervals. If the device detects a VT or FVT via VT episode for which detection would have

been withheld had the Onset feature been programmed to On, the episode is noted in the

episode text.
