SCSITOOL-AGING Command
1. Purpose
Operates the unit continuously by each command, checks the state, and outputs the results.
2. Functions
Sets parameters and outputs log files.
(The AGING operation takes about 45 minutes at the default values.)
2-1. Parameter Settings
If parameters need to be set, click “SET PARAM” in fig. 1, and change the values in fig. 2 as desired.
2-1-1 Write Data

Length : Transmission length (block number) of WRITE command.
[Default ] 1
. Block Size : Block size of “MODE SELECT” command.
[Default] 1024
Note) The product of the transmission length multiplied by the block size is 65,536 at maxi-
mum.
Set the block size in units of 512.

Repeat Write Count
Set the number of times to issue the “WRITE” command.
[Default] 100
2-1-2 Create Volume

Vol.Unit Num : The number of volumes to be made on the tape.
[Default] 5
. Volume Size : Capacity per volume.
(Unit MB)
[Default] 500 MB
Note) The capacity per volume should be the same. Different values cannot be set.
2-1-3 Comp.Mode
Set whether to compress during writing or not.
. ON : Compresses the data.
. OFF : The data is not compressed.
[Default] OFF
