Reel Shift Motor Check (Servo check command)
Function: Checks the function of a reel shift motor.
Operation:
(1) Enter command.
* A cassette tape is automatically ejected when it has been inserted into this unit in this case.
(2) Press the J key and confirm the following. For NG, refer to the next page.

Confirm that the reel table moves and message “........” is displayed on the screen.

Confirm that the reel table stops in the L position and message “L-Position” is
displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the K key and confirm the following. For NG, refer to the next page.

Confirm that the reel table moves and message “........” is displayed on the screen.

Confirm that the reel table stops in the S position and message “S-Position” is
displayed on the screen.
Key Reel table movement
J Moves, and stops in the L position
K Moves, and stops in the S position
Space Stops temporarily
(4) To terminate a check, press the CTRL and C keys simultaneously.

Power to a motor stops to protect the motor and movable portion when the drive time of the motor
continuously exceeds about six seconds due to its abnormality.
Message “[DRIVE TIME OUT]” is then displayed on the screen.
