5-2. CTL/TC Head Zenith Adjustment

Note

The CTL/TC head zenith check and adjustment are not required except when the

CTL/TC head is replaced.

Flatness plate (SL-657): J-6086-570-A

Cleaning cloth:

Check

1. Unthreading End Mode

Check that the unit is in the unthreading end

mode.

2. Check the CTL/TC Head Zenith

(1) Place the flatness plate lightly against the

TG-4 guide and CTL/TC head.

Be careful not to damage the surface of the

CTL/TC head and TG-4 guide.

(2) Check that no clearance exists between the

CTL/TC head and flatness plate as TG-4

guide reference in step (1).

If the specification is not satisfied, perform steps

3 and later.

If it is satisfied, perform step 7.
