Threading Motor Check (Servo check command)
Function:
Checks the function of a threading motor.
Operation: (1) Enter command.
* A cassette tape is automatically ejected when it has been inserted into this unit in this case.
(2) Press the J key and confirm the following. For NG, refer to the next page.

Confirm that the threading ring moves counterclockwise and message
“............” is displayed on the screen.

Confirm that the threading ring stops in the thread end state and message

” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the K key and confirm the following. For NG, refer to the next page.

Confirm that the threading ring moves clockwise and message
“............” is displayed on the screen.

Confirm that the threading ring stops in the unthread end state and message
“ *** UNTHREAD END *** ” is displayed on the screen.
Key Threading ring movement
J or H Moves counterclockwise ( 3 ), and stops in the thread end state
K or L Moves clockwise ( 2 ), and stops in the unthread end state
Space Stops temporarily

In the normally check, never use the H or L key to stay out of trouble.
When press the H or L key, the threading ring moves at a faster than the J or K key. However,
this operation gives a shock in the threading mechanism at the thread or unthread end state. This
shock has been the fear of cause trouble.
In case of check with the H or L key, before reaching the thread or unthread end state,
press the space key to stop the threading ring.
(4) To terminate a check, press the CTRL and C keys simultaneously.
* When the CTRL and C keys are released, the threading ring automatically returns to the unthread end state if
no abnormality is found.

Power to a motor stops to protect the motor and movable portion when the drive time of the motor
continuously exceeds about six seconds due to its abnormality.
Message “[DRIVE TIME OUT]” is then displayed on the screen.
