3-3-3. Drum Assembly Replacement

Outline

Replacement

1.

Remove the Rotary Head Cleaner Assembly

(Refer to steps 1 and 2 in Section 3-3-4.)

2.

Disconnect the Flexible Board (CN2/SE-358 Board)

3.

Release the Air Stabilizer (Refer to step 4 in Section 3-3-1.)

4.

Remove the Drum Assembly

5.

Cleaning

(Drum Assembly Mounting Surfaces and Chassis Mounting Surfaces)

6.

Install the Drum Assembly

7.

Adjust the Aier Stabilizer Clearance (Refer to Step 10 in Section 3-3-1.)

8.

Connect the Flexible Board (CN241/HN-223 Board)

9.

Cleaning

 (Rotary Heads, Upper Drum’s Tape Running Surface and

Lower Drum’s Tape Running Surface)

10. Install the Rotary Head Cleaner Assembly

(Refer to steps 4 through 6 in Section 3-3-4.)

Adjustment after Replacement

11. Confirm the Drum Motor Operation (SV16: Drum Motor Check)

(Refer to Section 6-2.)

12. Adjust the Tape Running (Refer to Section 5-3.)

13. Perform the PG Adjustment (SV1E: Manual PG Adjustment)

(Refer to Section 6-2.)

14. Adjust the Tracking (Refer to Section 5-4.)

15. Confirm the Drum Head Height (Refer to Section 5-9.)
