1-10. GY-2120 Control Software remo. exe

This software is used to perform the tape recording,

playback, rewinding, fast-forward, and stop operations and

cassette eject operation during adjustment of GY-

2120WD/2120WS using an IBM PC/AT(note 1)-compati-

ble machine (referred to as a PC hereafter).

1-10-1. Connection

1: For the RS-232C cable that connects the GY-

2120WD/2120WS and PC, refer to Section 1-4.

1-10-2. RS-232C Setting

1.

Activate the terminal software using a PC.

Communication baud rate: 9600 bps

Character length:

8 bits

Stop bit:

1

Parity:

None

2.

Set setup switch 8 on the rear panel of the GY-

2120WD/2120WS to OFF, then turn on the power of

the GY-2120WD/2120WS.

3.

Operate from the PC as described below.

 Enter “SERV” from the PC.

SERV=>21(ENTER)

 Enter menu No. 21.

Serial Baud Rate (default 4)

 To set 2400 bps,

enter “0”,

SERV=>quit(ENTER)

 To terminate the system,

enter “quit”.

Exit SERVICE SET MODE

After “0” is entered for the “BAUD RATE=>” prompt, do not

turn off the power until the “SERV=>” prompt is displayed.

4.

Turn off the power of the GY-2120WD/2120WS.

5.

Terminate the terminal software of the PC.

1-10-3. Activation and Screen Display

1.

Enter “remo” from the keyboard of a PC to activate the

remo.exe software.

2.

Set setup switch 8 on the rear panel of the GY-

2120WD/2120WS to ON, then turn on the power of

the GY-2120WD/2120WS.

3.

The screnn below is displayed after approximately 30

seconds.
