5-6. CTL/TC Head Azimuth Adjustment

Note

The CTL/TC head azimuth adjustment is closely related to the head position adjust-

ment and head height adjustment.

Be sure to perform adjustments (or checks) according to “In case the adjustment is

performed” in this section when the CTL/TC head azimuth is adjusted.

Equipment

Oscilloscope

PC (IBM PC/AT compatible machine)

For connection of a PC, refer to Section 5-1.

Tools

Alignment tape YR2-1: 8-960-074-11

GY-2120 control software (remo.exe)

Preparation

1. Turn the Power Off

2. Connect the Oscilloscope

CH-1: TP710/EQ-66 board (CTL PLS signal)

CH-2: TP705/EQ-66board (RSYC signal)

3. Set the Alignment Tape

Set the YR2-1 and put a weight (about 1000 g)

on the cassette so that it does not rise up.
