Capstan Motor Check (Servo check command)
Function : Checks the function of a capstan motor automatically.
Operation
: (1) Enter command.
* A cassette tape is automatically ejected when it has been inserted into this unit in this case. A check is then
initiated.
(2) Confirm that message “Forward...OK” is displayed on the screen.
Moreover, confirm that message “Reverse...OK” is displayed.
* The “Forward” and “Reverse” check is repeatedly executed until the CTRL and C keys are pressed simulta-
neously.
If “NG” is frequently displayed, refer to In Case of NG on this page.
* The types of the “NG” display are as follows:
NG(speed)
: Indicates that the speed is under the prescribed speed.
NG(direction) : Indicates that the rotation direction does not coincide.
(3) To terminate a check, press the CTRL and C keys simultaneously.
* The capstan motor automatically stops when the CTRL and C keys are pressed simultaneously.

In case of NG:
. Check the capstan motor drive circuit (DR-327 board or MS-54 board).
. Confirm the capstan FG output.
